Integrate Extensively

OzmosisESP runs on content and integrates with a full range of systems. It can also be extended to integrate with custom or proprietary data sources. OzmosisESP already integrates with:

• Traditional content management systems
• The National Institutes of Health’s PubMed and ClinicalTrials databases
• 3rd-party web services
• RSS feeds
• Listservs

Viewing & Commenting

Users can view content (including attachments) right within OzmosisESP. This means Powerpoint presentations, Word documents, PDFs, DICOM images, MRI scans and videos are viewable directly from the web browser without downloading any files.

Users can find related content associated with each document, add comments in real-time, and be alerted instantly when another user responds.

Indexing & Analysis

We index every piece of content, including documents, to uncover relevant keywords and dynamically link related content (and experts) together in a fully-indexed knowledge repository. Once documents are uploaded, we extract the text and meta data and map it against a medical taxonomy (more than one taxonomy can be mapped to specific content types). Thus, every document and comment is indexed and easily searchable.

Medical Taxonomies

OzmosisESP makes it simple to manage a library of medical taxonomies that can be used to power indexing and search throughout the platform. You may import a single taxonomy or configure customized taxonomies per specialty, disease state or ontology areas. OzmosisESP can import taxonomies from MESH, SNOMED and GAELAN.

Semantic Engine

The moment a document is uploaded or imported (even PowerPoint presentations and PDFs), OzmosisESP extracts all its text, then indexes and automatically analyzes it as your content moves through our content management process. Comments and discussions are consumed in the same manner and OzmosisESP extracts the meaning of each document and discussion in the system, turning unstructured and semi-structured information into knowledge for the entire organization.

Related Content

Whenever a user views a document or discussion, we generate an interactive list of related content powered by our semantic engine. Users can discover key information and experts as they read through and contribute to existing information in the system. Administrators can configure and prioritize related content lists to match organizational objectives.

Clinical Content Modules

Organize clinical content from across your organization into centralized modules specifically tailored to meet your unique information management and workflow needs. Our existing library of content and workflow modules includes: Order Sets, Care Plans, Ambulatory Templates, Clinical Cases, Training Curriculum, Journals, Medical News, Listservs and Image & Video Libraries.

Custom modules can be created and existing modules can be matched to your specific content sources, workflow requirements and search needs, enabling you to add and index any content you choose.
