Software Architect

Ozmosis is actively pursuing a Software Architect to join its product development group.

Previous experience working on a product team in an enterprise software company and/or technology start up is strongly preferred. Ozmosis is recruiting a talented software architect and Drupal expert to lead an experienced product development team; do you have what it takes?

This is a hands-on software architecture and development position, encompassing multiple distinct yet integrated product solutions, utilizing Drupal in a LAMP environment. In this role, you will lead the design and development of a multi-tiered web based product. As an architect, you should be familiar with development of complex distributed systems leveraging web services and have knowledge of standard usability and human machine interface practices.

Essential Job Functions:

• Lead the design and architecture of software to meet business requirements in a highly participatory process.
• Help recruit, lead and mentor a team of web developers.
• Identify and optimize key user and data interfaces essential to delivering ideal performance and scalability.
• Play key role on UI team delivering Drupal themes, views and AJAX interfaces.
• Implement custom and core modules in Drupal supporting web application functionality as necessary to meet requirements.
• Provide documentation as required and participate in code reviews, planning sessions and routine status stand-ups.
• Interface with the local Drupal community, work on emerging architecture principles and manage module contributions

This position calls for a candidate with 5+ years of total work experience including at least 1 year of active Drupal development and 3 years of extensive LAMP environment experience. Previous exposure to medical information systems, activity with health care communities or an understanding of health related nomenclature and terminology is preferred but not required.

Business Systems Analyst

This is a terrific position for a junior business systems analyst looking to expand their skill set and take on additional responsibility. 

The candidate should have experience translating customer needs into product requirements and supporting all facets of the software development lifecycle.  Ideally, they should also have an understanding of social collaboration and content management solutions and experience supporting agile software development.  Previous experience working with medical information systems, activity with online health care communities or an understanding of health related nomenclature and terminology is preferred.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree and 1 - 3 years of post college business experience.

Business System Analyst responsibilities will include:
 

• Gathering business and functional requirements from clients
• Preparing functional designs, wireframes and technical specifications
• Working closely with the software development team
• Preparing test plans & scripts and executing test cases
• Developing training and product marketing materials, including graphics
• Working closely with clients and partners to support system integration efforts
• Providing system support and troubleshooting as needed

The candidate must have at least 1 year of experience working on a product development team in a systems analyst or functional analyst role. Candidates should be self-sufficient, intuitive, and have the ability to react quickly in a highly dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a high level of enthusiasm and dedication to teamwork.

The candidate must be articulate and have excellent analytical, communication and computer skills (including MS Office, Photoshop, Illustrator and Visio). The candidate must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Front-End Developer

The ideal candidate will have strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills, experience translating conceptual wireframes, PSDs and prototypes into HTML/CSS, and can deliver a great user experience in innovative ways across all major browsers.

The right candidate can ultimately play an integral role in our application design and development process.

Required skills:

• 3+ years of HTML/CSS development experience
• Adobe Creative Suite experience
• Expertise with cross-browser compatibility
• Knowledge of PHP, Javascript, jQuery
• Experience with the latest techniques in developing standards-driven layouts

Recommended skills:

• Experience building themes for Drupal
• Comfortable working with a fast paced team of designers and developers
• Skills building or styling mobile apps and mobile web apps
• Experience with Flash and Flex development
• Strong Photoshop skills
• Experience working with at least the following APIs: Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Google APIs

Junior PHP Developer

Business Analyst

This is a unique position that will directly support the executive team and provide wide-ranging exposure into every facet of the company. The ideal candidate should be comfortable supporting a variety of business, marketing and product development functions. An understanding of social software products and the social business market in general is highly desirable but not required. Previous exposure to medical systems, activity with health care communities or an understanding of health related nomenclature and terminology is preferred.

The Business Analyst responsibilities will include:

• Support project management of product development milestones
• Support and execution of technical operations and reporting
• Data collection, data analysis and develop and distribute reports
• Conduct market research and analysis
• Develop and execute online and social media driven marketing initiatives
• Support enterprise sales and business development activities

Candidates should be self-sufficient, intuitive, and have the ability to react quickly in a highly dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a high level of enthusiasm and dedication to teamwork. This position requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2-4 years of post college business experience. The candidate must be articulate and have excellent analytical, communication and computer skills (including proficient experience in complex data modeling with Excel and slide development in PowerPoint). The candidate must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Marketing & Communications

The Marketing & Communications Intern is expected to contribute immediately, helping to expand our marketing strategy, promote our services and capabilities, and work directly with the product team. We're looking for someone excited by the inherent opportunities of social business, who understands the challenges involved in guiding the healthcare industry into the social world. 

This position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week and offers the opportunity for full-time employment following a successful internship. This is a great opportunity, not only to experience day-to-day life at a startup, but to have a front-row view of healthcare's entrance into the social age.

Our intern will learn about the biggest challenges to bringing social business to an existing enterprise, how to work with organizations all along the curve from eager and excited to embrace change to those hesitant and still clinging to the past. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Research, strategize, and implement new marketing initiatives to help grow the Ozmosis brand
• Expand Ozmosis' social media presence by contributing to social media outlets   (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, etc)
• Manage in-bound social media to track relevant news and highlight important items
• Assist with writing the company blog – including research, content creation, blog management, and promotion
• Perform beta testing and deliver feedback to the product team
• Help define requirements for new product offerings
• Help maintain and expand our marketing database
• Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify key differentiators in the product and service offerings

• Strong interest in working as part of a start-up environment
• Prior work or class project experience in interactive/social media marketing
• Knowledge of the social media landscape; you should be an avid user of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, etc)
