Business Systems Analyst

This is a terrific position for a junior business systems analyst looking to expand their skill set and take on additional responsibility. 

The candidate should have experience translating customer needs into product requirements and supporting all facets of the software development lifecycle.  Ideally, they should also have an understanding of social collaboration and content management solutions and experience supporting agile software development.  Previous experience working with medical information systems, activity with online health care communities or an understanding of health related nomenclature and terminology is preferred.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree and 1 - 3 years of post college business experience.

Business System Analyst responsibilities will include:
 

• Gathering business and functional requirements from clients
• Preparing functional designs, wireframes and technical specifications
• Working closely with the software development team
• Preparing test plans & scripts and executing test cases
• Developing training and product marketing materials, including graphics
• Working closely with clients and partners to support system integration efforts
• Providing system support and troubleshooting as needed

The candidate must have at least 1 year of experience working on a product development team in a systems analyst or functional analyst role. Candidates should be self-sufficient, intuitive, and have the ability to react quickly in a highly dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a high level of enthusiasm and dedication to teamwork.

The candidate must be articulate and have excellent analytical, communication and computer skills (including MS Office, Photoshop, Illustrator and Visio). The candidate must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Front-End Developer

The ideal candidate will have strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills, experience translating conceptual wireframes, PSDs and prototypes into HTML/CSS, and can deliver a great user experience in innovative ways across all major browsers.

The right candidate can ultimately play an integral role in our application design and development process.

Required skills:

• 3+ years of HTML/CSS development experience
• Adobe Creative Suite experience
• Expertise with cross-browser compatibility
• Knowledge of PHP, Javascript, jQuery
• Experience with the latest techniques in developing standards-driven layouts

Recommended skills:

• Experience building themes for Drupal
• Comfortable working with a fast paced team of designers and developers
• Skills building or styling mobile apps and mobile web apps
• Experience with Flash and Flex development
• Strong Photoshop skills
• Experience working with at least the following APIs: Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Google APIs

Junior PHP Developer

This is a hands-on software development position, encompassing multiple distinct yet integrated product solutions in a LAMP environment.  In this role, you will support the continuing design and development of a multi-tiered web based software platform.  You should be familiar with development of complex distributed systems leveraging web services and have knowledge of standard usability and human machine interface practices.

Essential Job Functions:

• Support the design and development of software to meet business requirements in a highly participatory process.
• Implement web application functionality as necessary to meet requirements.
• Provide documentation as required and participate in code reviews, planning sessions and routine status stand-ups.
• Interface with the local open source community.

This position calls for a candidate with 2 years of extensive LAMP environment experience including at least 1 year of active Drupal development.

The following expertise is required for this position: 

• PHP application design and development
• Drupal, PHP, XML, Javascript, AJAX and web services LAMP based development and operating environments
• Relational databases and SQL Knowledge, skills and experience required
• Experience working within iterative or agile rapid delivery process
• Successful history of delivering complex systems on tight deadlines
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills; quick learner
• Social media or user generated content experience highly desired
• B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

Business Analyst
