Healthcare Innovation Converges in Philadelphia

The healthcare industry is in the midst of a massive transformation as global trends such as Mobile, Social and Big Data  converge with new and innovative approaches to healthcare.  Following the Supreme Court’s long awaited decision on healthcare reform, MedCity’s inaugural conference on healthcare innovation, CONVERGE, could not come at a better time.

On July 10th, CONVERGE brings together executives from the nation’s most innovative healthcare systems, health IT firms, pharma companies, health startups and medical device manufacturers to discuss and share new products, services and solutions focused on the delivery of higher quality, lower cost healthcare.   

At CONVERGE, I will be joining a fantastic panel of industry leaders to discuss the state of “Online Collaboration” in healthcare.  As I have written previously, we now live in a mobile and social world and the impact of new collaborative models and innovative tools on healthcare cannot be overstated.

Technology is changing the way healthcare is delivered from telemedicine in rural areas to using social networks to crowdsource and disseminate health information.  Our panel will examine the drivers we see “moving the puck” toward online collaboration in health and explore specific examples of programs that effectively brought together players across the ecosystem to deliver better care.
