Davita Launches Collaborative Community, NephLink, for Kidney Care Physicians

The Ozmosis team is delighted to announce that DaVita Inc. (DVA), a leading provider of kidney care services that is committed to improving the quality of life for those diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD), has launched NephLink, a new online physician community for kidney care (powered by the OzmosisESP platform.)

NephLink is a prime example of how Ozmosis is powering a new model of collaborative care in the mobile and social age.   On NephLink, registered and verified physicians (including fellows) can engage with their colleagues to collaborate around challenging clinical cases and practice management issues in a private and secure community. In addition to providing tools to connect, collaborate and learn; NephLink aggregates news, journals, events and resources from leading kidney care news syndicates and journal publishers in a single platform.

NephLink - Collaborative community for kidney disease physicians

All content on NephLink is indexed against a kidney disease specific taxonomy, linking relevant content and making it simple for clinicians to find, share and discuss the most relevant and timely news and information.  Members can track content updates by keyword and follow colleagues they trust to receive instant email and text based notifications when relevant information is shared.  Detailed physician profiles and social search tools ensure clinicians can  quickly find and connect with colleagues.

While NephLink is a primary resource for nephrologists, it is designed to connect all physicians serving kidney patients, including vascular surgeons and internists. Dr. Allen Nissenson, MD, FACP, editor-in-chief of NephLink and chief medical officer at DaVita®, explains in Davita’s press release that, “NephLink is designed for the entire kidney care physician community to collaborate on difficult cases, share resources and best practices, and break down walls that prevent communication and collaboration,” he adds, “we hope that NephLink may help the entire kidney care community achieve improved clinical outcomes for their patients.”

Stop by Davita’s exhibit booth at the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) Kidney Week in San Diego this Thursday, November 2nd through Sunday November 4th to meet with Dr. Nissenson and the NephLink team.
