What is Ozmosis?

Ozmosis, Inc. has been providing social business software and care collaboration solutions to the healthcare industry since 2008.

Ozmosis initially launched Ozmosis.org, an online community for U.S. licensed and verified physicians, to help thousands of doctors engage with trusted colleagues in a secure environment. Based on its experience running Ozmosis.org, Ozmosis subsequently developed its care collaboration platform, OzmosisESP, in 2011 to enable hospitals, healthcare systems and life science firms to facilitate collaboration and communication around any targeted content, user groups, and workflow – bringing the collaborative model much closer to the point of care and engaging the full healthcare team.

At the heart of OzmosisESP is a model for collaborative care that weaves a healthcare organization’s social strategy and tools into its underlying content and workflows, enabling staff and clinicians to collaborate seamlessly with anyone, anytime and from anywhere.

By creating a single knowledge repository that pulls content from any source (such as journals from PubMed, clinical cases and order sets from the EMR, industry news from leading publishers, health feeds from Twitter, etc), OzmosisESP combines clinical content with all the social information and insights shared by individuals using the platform. Each piece of content is indexed and mapped against a medical taxonomy (including actual documents), linking related content together so staff and clinicians can instantly find relevant information to share, view and discuss with their colleagues and peers.
